Entries will be accepted Friday at Honeyfest from 9 AM till 11 AM at Wagnalls in the Banquet Hall
Big Cash awards in each class and Best of Show

*Winners announced at the Awards Program, Saturday Sept. 10, 10:00 am Main Stage
*Winners on display Saturday, Sept. 10th at the Honey Show Booth
*Entry pick up – Saturday Sept. 10 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
*No labels or identification of any kind on jars or containers.
CLASSES:
Class 1 – 4 :Extracted honey in 3 -1# standard glass honey jars – Queenline or Classic
Class 1 – Water White through Extra White ( Pfund scale 0 – 17)
Class 2 – White ( Pfund 18 – 34)
Class 3 – Extra Light Amber – Light Amber ( Pfund 35 – 85)
Class 4 – Amber – Dark Amber ( Pfund 86 – 115 and up)
Class 5 – Cut Comb ( enter 2 – 4”x 4” hard plastic cut comb boxes)
Class 6 – Creamed (granulated) Honey (enter 3 - 1# glass straight sided wide mouth
creamed or chunk honey jars)
Class 7 – Bess Wax ( 2 -- 1# blocks)
ABOUT THE JUDGING
Class 1 – 4 judged on appearance and fill of jars, color, clarity, cleanliness, moisture, flavor and aroma.
Class 5 – judged on cut sharpness, fill of box, cappings, honey and appearance
Class 6 – judged on set of granulation, smoothness, color, flavor and appearance.
Class 7 – judged on weight and thickness, color, general appearance, purity and unifomity of wax, smooth surface top and bottom. Each exhibit should be wrapped in saran wrap.
